Cottage is in the heart of the village of Golant-by-Fowey on the south coast of
Cornwall known as the Cornish Riviera. The cottage was recently renovated to a
very high standard and is a wonderful hideaway from which to explore the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House (National
Trust), the picturesque fishing harbour of Mevagissey or towns of Fowey (Daphne
Du Maurier Festival 13th - 22nd May 2010), and
Lostwithiel or Truro. The Tate Gallery in St Ives is an easy day trip. The famous harbour of Padstow
and picturesque village of Port Isaac, where Doc Martin was filmed, and
the many other attractions on the North Coast
are less than an hour away making Golant a perfect center for touring Cornwall.
Alternatively leave the car parked and walk to Fowey or along the All Saints
way. The oak stable door at the front of the cottage takes you from the front gate and wonderful patio garden into the open plan living room. With gorgeous Andrew Martin Tulip design blue curtains, comfy leather sofa and chair, large wool rug on the solid oak floor and cosy wood burning stove you can enjoy this seasidey haven at any time of year. There is TV with DVD/CD player and a small selection of DVDs, please feel free to bring your own along for a romantic evening in front of the wood burner, glass of wine in one hand and popcorn in the other! Steep
winding stairs lead from the kitchen area
upstairs to the gorgeous twinkle light filled bedroom with comfortable 5 foot
Queen size cast iron 'gothic'
bedstead, original wooden floor and wool rugs There is a TV with video and
