The cottage was recently renovated to a very high standard and is a wonderful hideaway from which to explore the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House (National Trust), the picturesque fishing harbour of Mevagissey or towns of Fowey (Daphne Du Maurier Festival 13th - 22nd May 2010), and Lostwithiel or Truro. The Tate Gallery in St Ives is an easy day trip. The famous harbour of Padstow and picturesque village of Port Isaac, where Doc Martin was filmed,  and the many other attractions on the North Coast are less than an hour away making Golant a perfect center for touring Cornwall.
